Why Train With Me?
I am a Certified Nose Work Instructor with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (R) and have trained 100+ teams from the beginnings of the sport up to the elite levels in every organization with thousands of hours of observation of teams working in the sport.
I am a Certifying Official (CO) for the Trialing Division and ORTs as well as a Trial and ORT judge with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (R). I am also a judge with the American Kennel Club, and Canine-Work and Games.
I am a Score Room Lead (SRL) for all levels with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (R).
I am constantly learning through a focus on continuing education in order to grow and develop a thoughtful curriculum for my students. I know that one methodology does not work for every dog, so I adapt how I teach to meet the needs of the team in front of me. I am required to earn continuing education credits to uphold credentialing with the National Association of Canine Scent Work (R).
I am an avid competitor in a variety of dog sports so I understand the demands of training and competing in a multi-sport household with multiple dogs.
I am an experienced trial host for the National Association of Canine Scent Work (R), The American Kennel Club, and Canine-Work and Games so I understand the nuances and challenges of trial hosting including mentorship to newer hosts and trial chairpersons.
I am a presenter and instructor in partnership with Scent Work University teaching a global audience and have taught in-person through seminars and nose work camps throughout the country.
How Do I Set Teams Up For Success?
I teach in-person and virtually for teams at all levels to help teams grow and achieve their goals for the sport and in every day life, you do not have to have competition as your goal to train with me.
I provide coaching on top of instruction, with handler coaching, trial preparation coaching, mental management coaching, and I tailor guidance for each team in order to maximize success in trials.
I provide video review of searches in training and trials to help my student teams continue to grow and improve in the sport.
I am always providing my student teams resources for continuous education through online and in-person seminars, workshops, training camps, and more!
Participating in Special Events and Trials
Being a part of the TSS community provides opportunities to train in novel trial-like environments. I do not teach at a training center!
I hold specialized group training sessions geared towards every level of competition to set my teams up for success!
I offer NACSW Virtual Walk Through reviews for anyone to join in to learn and grow!
I have hosted numerous Nose Work events over the years, so check out my event offerings for the latest trial and event offerings hosted by TSS!
I am not accepting any new or transfer students at this time. If you wish to get started in the sport, feel free to fill out the form and I can provide you in-person classes in the Columbus metro area. Unfortunately beginner classes are very limited in the area due to the popularity of the sport and the high level of retention of existing students in classes.
